What the Indicator Lab is

The Indicator Lab (lab.takingprophets.com) is a member benefit of the Taking Prophets community. It uses AI to build custom Pine Script™ indicators from your descriptions, verifies them against historical market data, and renders them on a chart. Access requires an active Taking Prophets membership (your Discord role is your login).

No financial advice · no performance guarantees

The Lab is a software and educational tool. Nothing it produces — indicators, signals, markings, chat replies, or community content — is financial, investment, or trading advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument.

• Indicators describe historical price behavior. They do not predict the future, and past behavior does not guarantee future results.
• We make no promise of profit or performance of any kind. Trading futures, crypto, and other leveraged instruments involves substantial risk of loss.
• "Verified" and "non-repainting verified" describe software checks we run (the code compiles, runs on historical data, and its historical output is stable under replay). They are statements about code behavior — never about trading results.
• You are solely responsible for your trading decisions.

Taking Prophets and the Indicator Lab are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TradingView. "TradingView" and "Pine Script" are trademarks of TradingView, Inc. The Lab produces Pine Script source code that you may use on your own TradingView account; we do not host, publish, or distribute scripts on TradingView on your behalf.

Included usage & top-ups

Active members receive an included allowance of AI build usage each month; unused allowance rolls over while your membership is active. Optional one-time usage top-ups are available and do not expire. Usage is metered by the real computational cost of your builds.

Your code is yours — free

The Pine Script source of any indicator you build on the Lab is yours to keep and use, at no extra charge. Download it from the </> Code panel and use it on your own TradingView account (including publishing it there — if you do, you publish under your own account and are solely responsible for complying with TradingView's house rules and vendor requirements).

• You can only export your own builds. Other members' published indicators are viewable as previews and their source is never accessible to you.
• Original work only. The Lab builds trading concepts — you're free to build any FVG, order block, sweep, session, or other standard concept from scratch. But the Lab will not reproduce, and will not export or publish, a build that is a near-verbatim clone of a specific protected indicator — including indicators Taking Prophets builds for its partners/clients and Taking Prophets' own published indicators. If a build trips this check, tweak the logic to make it genuinely your own and it will export.
• Members who previously purchased the code export are unaffected — you keep everything you already had, and everything is now free for everyone.

Community publishing

Publishing an indicator to the Lab community shares its preview, title, and your Discord name — never its source code. Published items get a public share page. We run originality checks and may remove content that is plagiarized, abusive, or misleading. You can unpublish your own items at any time.

House Picks & curation

The Taking Prophets team may select standout published indicators as House Picks — featured in the Lab gallery and credited to you by your Discord name. By publishing to the community you grant Taking Prophets a license to feature, adapt, and republish that indicator, including refined versions published on Taking Prophets' own TradingView page, always with credit to you as the concept's originator. Code you have purchased through the $100 export is excluded — once you own your code, we never curate or republish it. Prefer a published item not be curated? Unpublish it, or tell us in Discord and we'll remove the pick.

Your data

We use your Discord identity for login and authorship. Build conversations, feedback (including thumbs-down notes), and generated code may be reviewed by the Taking Prophets team to improve the product. Market data shown in the Lab is historical and provided for development and educational purposes.

Fair use

Don't abuse the service (automated scraping, attempting to extract others' code, circumventing metering). We may suspend access for abuse. The Lab is provided "as is" without warranties; our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months.
